About the University

Tokoha University is the largest private university in Shizuoka Prefecture with 19 academic departments in 10 faculties and 3 junior-college programs, spread across four campuses located in Hamamatsu and Shizuoka area. Tokoha University, as a community which diversity of study and local communities assemble, enables students to meet new friends and new ideas for their future visions. We strive to enhance the quality of education and research as well as to develop human resources for contribution to the local communities. As stated in our educational mission statements, “to increase knowledge and virtue”, “to develop future visions”, and “to contribute to the local communities”, we develop students to be able to serve the nation and the society and to be able to solve the problems that our world is facing.

Japanese Language Learning

Tokoha University offers “Japanese Culture and Society” course for the international students under the Business Administration degree. The course provides learning of Japanese society and culture and trainings on Japanese verbal expressions and writing structures that are required for the professional education. There are also some preparation provided for the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test.

Support for international students

We are committed to supporting international students in their college life. We assist in a process of immigration or any applications at a government office, accommodation arrangements, or finding a part-time job as some examples. Students are able to receive an academic support from their own academic advisors, who also provide a career guidance.

Financial Support & Scholarships

Tokoha University offers tuition reduction scholarship for the international students.
Students are also able to apply for scholarships from “Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO)” as well as from other scholarship programs from different foundations.
