静岡県国際交流協会は、ふじのくに地域・大学コンソーシアム主催にて静岡県内企業に就職を希望する留学生に対し、就職に必要な知識やマナーの習得、静岡県の産業や企業についての理解を深めるための就職支援講座を実施しました。
今回は9月にしずおか焼津信用金庫と共催で実施したインターンシップ事業について報告します。
留学生のためのインターンシップ

インターンシップ先：株式会社磯駒海苔、株式会社中村機工、株式会社イーシーセンター
参加留学生：4名
今回のインターンシップ事業は、県内で就職を希望する留学生が、静岡県内企業のことや働き方についての理解を深めると共に、卒業後も静岡に定着し、静岡で働くことに魅力を感じてくれることを目的に実施しました。
初日のガイダンスでは、各自自己紹介をした後、ビジネスマナーやインターンシップをするにあたっての心構えを学びました。時間を守る事や、報告・連絡・相談が大切であることなど社会人としてのマナーを教わり、「話を聞くときは必ずメモを取るように」というアドバイスもいただきました。午後はしずおか焼津信用金庫の職員の方より、信用金庫の業務についての説明があり、金庫内の職場見学もさせていただきました。各フロアで練習も兼ねて自己紹介を行い、みなさんに温かく見守っていただきました。
最終日の報告会では各自が作成をしたプレゼン資料をもとに3日間の報告をしました。企業概要や体験した仕事などの他、今回のインターンシップで学んだ事、感じた事を各自プレゼンしていきます。留学生からは「この会社にしかできない商品、戦略があると思った。自分の会社にしかできない道を探すのが生き残る道だと思った。」、「自分の意見を伝えやすい雰囲気だった。（取引先に）海外企業も多く、外国人も大切にしてくれる印象だった。」などの感想がありました。また、会社の商品を自国で売る場合の戦略を考え社内でプレゼンをした留学生もいました。
しずおか焼津信用金庫の方からは「創業が長い会社はそれだけ良いものを持っている。今回それを感じ取ってくれたのが良かった」という言葉もいただき、報告会は終了しました。
今回のインターンシップが留学生にとって将来を決める上での良い経験となり、同時に静岡県内企業への就職促進につながることを願っています。

Shizuoka Association for International Relations, under the auspices of The Consortium of Universities and Local Communities in Shizuoka, held a job-hunting support course for international students wishing to work for companies in Shizuoka Prefecture, to help them acquire the knowledge and manners necessary for employment and deepen their understanding of the industries and companies in Shizuoka Prefecture.
We report on the internship project we conducted jointly with SHIZUOKA YAIZU SHINKIN BANK in September.
Job Hunting Support Lecture for International Students
“The internship”

The internship program was designed to help international students who wish to work in Shizuoka Prefecture deepen their understanding of companies in Shizuoka Prefecture and how they work, and attract them to settle down and work in Shizuoka after graduation.
On the first day of guidance, after each student introduced themselves, they learned about business manners and how to prepare for their internship. They were taught manners as members of society, such as punctuality and the importance of reporting, communicating, and consulting with others in the workplace. They were also advised to “always take notes when listening to a talk“. In the afternoon, a staff of SHIZUOKA YAIZU SHINKIN BANK explained the operations of the bank and gave them a tour of the bank's workplace. On each floor, the students also practiced their self-introductions, which were warmly received by everyone.
On the final day of the internship, the students reported on their three-day internship experience based on the presentation materials they had prepared. In addition to an overview of the company and the work they experienced, each participant reported on what they had learned and felt during their internship.
An international student said, “I thought there are products and strategies that only this company can offer. I thought that the way to survive is to look for a path that only the company can take.” “It was an atmosphere where it was easy to express my opinions. The company where I did my internship has many overseas companies as clients, and I had the impression that they value foreigners as well. Some students thought up strategies for selling the company's products in their home countries and made presentations within the company.
A staff from SHIZUOKA YAIZU SHINKIN Bank said, “Companies that have been in business for a long time have such good things. It was good that you were able to sense that in this case,” and the debriefing session ended.
We hope that this internship will be a good experience for international students in deciding their future, and at the same time, we hope that it will help promote employment at companies in Shizuoka Prefecture.
